The story of Joseph is the unique Quranic story which has been narrated all at once and in details. This has led many interpreters and critiques like Seyyed Qotb, whose book entitled Al-tasvir al- Fanni is considered a buzzword in Quranic literary and artistic studies, to attend to the literary aspects of this story and provide the way for its deeper inquiry. In this study, we tried to analyze and categorize some of the literary and artistic elements of this story such as characterization, building scenes, conversation, quarrel, and also some literary elements such as the element of imagination, affection and the framework of thought.So that to see the extent to which Quran has used literary and artistic frameworks at the service of conveying its educational messages. This characteristic of Quran’s language has led to the development of the theory of Islamic art and literature and many of its aspects such as Islamic stories and dramas. The study of the artistic features of the best of story of Quran from the viewpoint of Seyyed Qotb, who is a pioneer in the theory of Islamic arts and literature, will help a lot in understanding and disseminating this theory.
