Abstract

Image in each poem represents poet’s point of view to the around & hid ideology. studying the aritistic images was done by different methods. In ancient literature, simile, metaphor, figure & irony
were considered as poet’s imaging elements. So, in contemporary criticism except past poetic images), examining the elemens such as: color, motion, symbol & etc have been entered in the field for artistic image criticism.
As part of undertaken literatures of Muslim nations especially Shi’ite, Ashura epic has tried to depict the events & ideals for this great episode by elegant & impressive expression in several centries.
Sharif Razi- Shiite’s famous poet has tragic elegies about the Ashura & vatical descendents’ fate which is the most famous including ode “Karbala Ma Zelat Karb o Bala”. This article aims to review the existing rhetorical images in this poem (simile, figure, metaphor, irony) by analytical –descriptional method. Beside these components, movement & color components (which including the imaging element) will be studied.
However, in Sharif Razi’s poetry, metaphorical images enjoy a higher frequency in comparison with the rest of images. In his poem, Unpretentiousness and simplicity of metaphors reflects his poetic simplicity. Therefore, he deemed it to serve Mohammad’s Descentens & chose the simplest route in this way and was nont going to confuse the audience. and Movement verbs & colors all express Imam’s & his descendents innocent face and his followers as well as cruelly and unsightly faces. In this ode, all images’ components is based on these two pivots.
