Abstract

Ghadir is an undeniable fact in the history of Islam that lightens the spirit of truth- seekers. Large bodies of poets have reflected it in their poems and it has been the inspiration for many outstanding literary works narrating the story of love to Imam Ali and his guardianship. Studying Ghadir in the poems of Boules Salamah, the Christian-Lebanese poet, reveals the fact that Imam Ali and the story of Ghadir is a prominent feature of his poetic career and “Malhamah” is one of his most magnificent epics on this historic event. This research intends to shed light on Ghadir in Salamah’s poems and study it through a descriptive-analytic approach.
