Abstract

The issue of justice is one of the concepts that the Qur'an has always emphasized. Justice is manifested in three dimensions of development, legislative and criminal in many verses of the Qur'an, all of which reveal the supreme example of divine justice. One of the words that has an inseparable connection with divine justice - of the type of criminal justice - is the word "mesqal". The word "mesqal" has contributed to the Qur'anic meaning due to the text, semantic contrast, coherence and the concept of divine justice in the verses of the Qur'an. Using a descriptive-analytical method, this research tries to discuss the collocate function of the word mesqal in relation to divine justice in Qur'anic verses. The results show that the similarity of the word mesqal is more focused on "connection with the concept of justice"; However, the common confrontation and inclusion has given meaning to the concept of divine justice on the Day of Judgment of the servants.
